El sapo y la luna

Un sapo croaba
camuflado en el agua
y la luna viajaba
vestida de enagua.

Saltaba y saltaba
el sapo encantado
y la luna observaba
con su color plateado.

El sapo y la luna
se andaban buscando
y cerca de la laguna
estuvieron charlando.

Juntos planearon
su viaje nocturno
y ambos se marcharon
en el mismo turno.

Detrás de la luna
el sapo remaba
porque en la laguna
la luna viajaba.

The frog and the moon

A frog croaked
camouflaged in the water,
and the moon traveled
dressed in petticoats.

The enchanted frog
laped and leaped,
and the moon looked on
with a silverplated glow.

The frog and the moon
went looking for each other,
and close to the lagoon
they were chatting.

Together they planned
their voyage of night,
and both went away
at the very same time.

But behind the moon
the frog was rowing,
because in the lagoon
the moon was going.
